An eye-catching exhibition is coming to the Barbican later this month focusing on the Eames office/laboratory where much of the 20th century’s most pioneering and iconic designs were produced. The major retrospective called ‘The World of Charles and Ray Eames’ will explore the career and work of the famous couple. Responsible for much more than iconic furniture Charles and Ray Eames also sought to address the needs and demands of modern living through innovate and thoughtful design in all areas of life. From architecture to interior design their work and influence continues to loom large and this exhibition promises to be both a fascinating insight into their process and legacy, as well as an inspiring space for anyone looking to improve their home!

The exhibition runs from 21 October – 14 February 2016 and the Barbican is also putting on a number of events and talks to tie in with world of the Eameses.
