When “Mercedes-Benz” and “Maybach” are mentioned there follows an expectation of refinement and luxury – exactly what we’ve seen with the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6. Making its debut at Pebble Beach in California, the concept gives an insight into what luxury cars of the future may look like.

“Our glamorous coupé, the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6, represents the ultimate in contemporary luxury. It is hot and cool. With its intelligent appeal and reduced, technoid look, it perfectly embodies our design philosophy of sensual purity and our pursuit of aerodynamic efficiency.” Gorden Wagener, Head of Design at Daimler AG

An attractive coupé with sleek curves, its elongated length, low roof line and rear positioning of the cabin pay homage to coupés of yesteryear. However, the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 is designed to be an electric car, powered by four motors and featuring four-wheel drive which promises the performance you’d expect from the two car makers. Meanwhile the interior carries a front windscreen which serves as a transparent gesture – controlled display for driving and media information.
