Japanese sports lifestyle brand, Onitsuka Tiger, have just launched their SS14 campaign with this years brand ambassador Erik Garbo.

Erik is a half Italian half Japanese student who lives in Milan and the launch videos follow Erik on a personal journey through the streets of Navigli – an area of Milan known for its culture, grand canal and vibrant side streets.

In total the campaign showcases the launch of three new styles, including the SS14 hero product, the SHAW RUNNER. The SHAW RUNNER is Eriks choice – a contemporary interpretation of of a classic running show, the shoe holds strong to Onitsuka Tiger’s and Eriks values, boasting strong integrity, but not being afraid to challenge conformity with striking light and dark colourways and synthetic suede yellow accents. The Shaw runners are the perfect marriage of performance, comfort and urban style. They are available in eight colour and three material options teamed with an outsole that features accents of tiger patterns and Japanese TABI traditional socks that separate the big toe from the others.

Later in the series Erik catches up with his friends where we see the HARANDIA and SHERBORNE RUNNER. This is the first time the HARANDIA has been styled as a woman’s shoe, which boasts six lively colourways to choose from. We also get to see the new SHERBORNE RUNNER which references the style of Onitsuka Tiger’s iconic ULTIMATE 81, with a modern midsole that adds extra flexibility and cushioning.
