The arrival of J Crew in London has had many licking their sartorial lips in anticipation for years. And with the recent announcement of the opening of not one, but three stores in various central locations they are certainly announcing their long overdue arrival with a bang, prompting the ‘blogosphere’ as it were into a wave of giddy excitement. Luckily for us chaps the men’s only shop is opening today, a full month before the Regent Street flagship. Taking residence in an historic 19th century townhouse at 38 Lamb’s Conduit Street the edited collection will feature shirting, accessories and the labels Ludlow suiting collection.

rsz_1imgw4_v2_m56577569832167161The store will also be stocking items from excellent labels such as Corgi, Thomas Mason and the umbrella brand London Undercover. (Previously featured by SG here) There will also be a range of special in-store services such as monogramming and customer stitching, making certain that your long-craved-for wool jacket really is one of a kind!

Part of the labels charm and quirks is also demonstrated through their storefront, with 38 lambs specially designed by artist and illustrator Hugo Guinness adorning the windows in a variety of cheeky situations and poses.

The Street Gentry team can’t wait to step inside 38 Lamb’s and with the recent sudden temperature drop we’ll be hoping to get our hands on some of the excellent Ludlow sports coats in particular. We’ll see you in line.
