Converse Launch First Redesign Of The Chuck Taylor In 98 Years

Converse have just announced the first remake of their iconic Chuck Taylor All Star in 98 years.

The shoes had their first debut in 1917 and ever since have had a cult following right through every style of mens fashion. So it is a brave move by Converse to attempt to improve on what has become such a staple in so many wardrobes.

“The Chuck Taylor All Star is one of the most legendary and iconic sneakers of all time,” said Jim Calhoun, Converse President and CEO. “The launch of Chuck II is a ground-breaking moment for Converse as we continue to move the brand forward through creativity and innovation, ushering in not just a new sneaker, but a completely new way of thinking.”

The update is designed to improve the comfort and technology used to build the shoe, and includes the first ever introduction of Nike Lunarlon technology.

Available in Fall 2015; the range will be available in Black, White, Red and Blue.
