Swiss Made, English Heart Gent on the street 14 April, 2013 Here at Street Gentry we love quality British brands. Christopher Ward is an English watchmaker, with a simple aim, ‘to put premium quality watches within the reach of everyone.’ Yet you won’t find CW watches being sold in any shops. To curtail the price of its watches, CW sell directly via its website. There is little marketing of CW, with the brand, refreshingly, reliant on the ‘word of mouth’ recommendations by CW watch owners. CW watches are put together in Switzerland but designed in Berkshire with heavy influence from English heritage. Take the Malvern collection, inspired by the dashboard of an Aston Martin or the Harrison range celebrating the British Horologist John Harrison. Despite being a small and relatively new (founded in 2004) watchmaker, Christoper Ward has a broad range of high quality yet affordable luxury watches to choose from. Having only discovered CW in November of last year, I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the watches on offer and came away with a C3 Malvern Chronograph. If you fancy a new timepiece, take a look at the CW website.
