adidas Pure BOOST Review - When style meets performance

We were really excited to be given a preview look at adidas’ latest Pure Boost shoe on its release day yesterday.

Out of the box we were amazed by just how light the adidas Pure Boosts are (for the techies out there they weigh in at a meagre 235 grams). The sheer attention to detail is evident in every part of the trainer.

They are the first trainer with an entire mid-sole made out of adidas’ Pure Boost cushioning which is designed not just for its unique styling, but also allows for four way cushioning and maximum energy return. This new technology was created in part by designers from adidas’ Sport Performance, Y-3 and Original designers, and isn’t the only high tech part of the trainer. The heel, made from Tierrenina suede (which attaches to the shoe without the use of any solvents) allows maximum movement¬† and comfort without the risk of losing your trainer on part of your run.

After a test run tonight, the only draw back we can find is the lack of an inner sock liner, meaning you need to fit up in a set of trainer socks if you are going to be running long distances, which isn’t the biggest chore.

Overall the adidas Pure Boost are not only a practical high performance running shoe, their unique styling means they fit just as well with a casual outfit on a early summer evening.

Available exclusively at Footlocker there are more colourways and styles due for release later this year.
